Friday Futsal

Program Overview: This 4-week indoor soccer program is designed to improve players' skills and decision making within the game in a fast-paced, small-sided environment similar to futsal. Futsal is a variant of soccer played indoors on a hard court with a smaller and heavier ball, which encourages quick thinking, ball control, and technical skill development. These sessions will help players enhance their agility, passing, shooting, and decision-making abilities while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

Target Audience:

  • Players of all skill levels (Ages U8-U13)

  • Individuals seeking to improve technical skills and overall soccer performance

  • Recreational and competitive players

Program Goals:

  • Technical Skills: Improve individual ball handling, passing, dribbling, and shooting in tight spaces.

  • Tactical Understanding: Encourage quick decision-making, tactical awareness, and reading of the game in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physical Conditioning: Enhance agility, endurance, and coordination through high-intensity drills and small-sided games.

  • Teamwork & Communication: Foster teamwork, communication, and collaboration through small group play and tactical exercises.

  • Decision Making: Improve split second decisions under time and space constraints

Why Futsal?

  • The small-sided nature forces players to think quickly and make faster decisions, which is essential for developing technical skills in real-game situations.

  • The smaller ball and court size create a challenging environment where players must learn to control the ball with precision and speed.

  • The fast tempo and frequent touches on the ball enhance overall fitness, coordination, and game intelligence.

Outcome: At the end of the 4 weeks, players will have honed their technical skills and developed increased confidence in small-sided game settings, all while having fun and staying active.
