Our Board
The SDU board is comprised of 7 volunteer positions with a term of 1 or 2 years. Elections to these positions are made by SDU members at our annual general meeting in the Spring.

BC Soccer Club Charter
South Delta United is a BC Soccer Charter Club Member. This program provides support to clubs in areas of governance, technical, and general good practice. The charter can be viewed here.
Canada Soccer’s Licensing Program
South Delta United is a member of the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program. This program is designed to guide member organizations across Canada with best principals for organizational development. More details can be viewed here.

Rick Ocean
Acting President
As the Co-Founder of Body Energy Club, Rick helped grow his business from a single store in Vancouver, BC, to 21 locations across North America. Rick brings extensive experience in product development, branding, and customer service. He also works as the Manager of Business Development and Partnerships at Netcoins, a leading digital finance exchange in Canada. He moved to Tsawwassen in 2020 with his wife, and both their children play on SDU’s U8 and U6 teams. Rick joined the SDU Strategic Planning Committee earlier in the year to support the club's growth and improvement. He is passionate about making SDU a top-tier club for his children and the community.

Janice Lim Hing
Treasurer
Janice is currently coaching her daughter’s house team at SDU, and enjoys teaching and developing skills that can be taken off the pitch. She lives in Ladner with her family.
With well over a decade experience working in the financial industry, Janice is focused on creating a diverse and inclusive SDU community that can thrive well beyond her term as treasurer.

Tamarah Bo Calyniuk-Nerreter
Director
Having lived in the community for 12 years and worked as a physiotherapist for 20 years in sports and pelvic health, Tamarah is dedicated to contributing to SDU’s growth. Her goal is to promote optimal child development in sports, emphasizing equality, inclusion, and a love for athletics. She looks forward to being a proactive board member and contributing her effort towards the development of our community’s values and ethos.

Jeff Hodgson
Director
Jeff is a passionate educator and soccer enthusiast with over two decades of experience in teaching and coaching. Since 2007, he has been a Secondary Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director with the Vancouver School Board. Jeff holds a bachelor’s in kinesiology, a BEd in PE, and a master’s in kinesiology (coaching science).
Jeff has several soccer coaching certifications, including a 'B Provincial' license and an 'Advanced National' diploma. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and First Aid certified. His coaching experience includes grassroots to national teams, with roles at the Whitecaps Elite Academy and the U-17 Men's National Team. Growing up, Jeff played in metro leagues and provincial programs and was part of the UBC Thunderbirds Varsity Soccer Program. He still plays in the Over 35 Men’s Premier division today and aims to bring valuable knowledge and experience to help steer SDU in a direction the soccer community can be proud of.

Rene Casas-Cordero
Director
With three children in soccer at U6, U9, and U12, Rene has seen the strengths and weaknesses of various clubs, including SDU. He hopes to share these insights to improve the club. As a local business owner, Rick is eager to give back to the community and support SDU’s development.
